Jupp Heynckes doesn’t consider Leroy Sané a €100m player

In an interview with Welt, former Bayern Munich head coach Jupp Heynckes discussed Manchester City attacker Leroy Sané and whether or not Bayern are right to pursue the Germany international.

“For me, he’s not yet made a breakthrough to an absolute top player,” said Heynckes. “I think this is a player at a crossroads. Will he keep working hard on himself or will just remain just as an exceptional talent?

“He has to be ready to make the next step. Because there is no use in flashing the talent from time to time. I also honestly tell you that I don’t consider the price justifiable.”

Bayern Munich have shown concrete interest in signing Sané but given the current health crisis, clubs may not have the funds to spend upwards of €100 million on a player.
