Jesse Marsch plays down Borussia Dortmund reports: “I haven’t been in contact with Dortmund.”

Speaking after RB Salzburg’s 2-0 win over Rapid Vienna, head coach Jesse Marsch played down talks of becoming Borussia Dortmund manager.

“I have to say that I don’t know Lucien Favre but I met him some years ago,” said Marsch. “He’s a great coach, Dortmund are doing well, they are second in the Bundesliga and it’s a great club.

“I have a contract here and my focus is 100 percent here. It’s not necessary to speak about it and I have to say that I haven’t been in contact with Dortmund.

“I can just say that I’m fully focussed here in Salzburg and I’m really happy here. That’s it.”

Sport Bild reported yesterday that Marsch had been linked with Borussia Dortmund should they part ways with Favre.
