According to Süddeutsche Zeitung, Bayern Munich defender Javi Martinez is free to leave the Bundesliga club this summer one year before his contract ends.
After eight years in Bavaria, the Spaniard’s time at Bayern Munich has come to an end after joining from Athletic Club in 2012. It’s not yet known whether a return to Spain beckons or a challenge elsewhere.
The 31-year-old has played 237 games in all competitions for Bayern Munich.
