Bundesliga side Hoffenheim are close to signing 19-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder Angelo Stiller on a free transfer, according to Sport1 journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The German’s contract with Bayern expires in June 2021 and with no contract extension in sight, Stiller would be allowed to leave the Bundesliga champions on a free transfer.
Stiller became an important player for Sebastian Hoeneß during his time as Bayern Munich II head coach – there was also initial talks between the two clubs regarding a potential move during the previous transfer window.
The German youth international has featured for Bayern Munich in both the Champions League and DFB-Pokal this season and has played nine 3. Liga games for Bayern’s second team.
With Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Corentin Tolisso and Marc Roca in Bayern’s midfield, playing time will be hard to find for Stiller, especially now that 17-year-old Jamal Musiala is starting to feature for the champions in central midfield.
