Hertha Berlin are in negotiations to sign 27-year-old striker Jhon Córdoba from fellow Bundesliga club FC Köln, according to Kicker.
The Colombian has just one-year remaining on his current deal and despite an offer to extend his contract, both Córdoba and FC Köln are yet to reach an agreement.
He asked to sit out of FC Köln’s DFB Pokal win on Saturday to avoid picking up any injury that may affect his move away from the club.
Köln are feeling the financial implications from Covid-19 and must sell before they can buy whilst this summer is the last opportunity to receive a transfer fee for Córdoba.
