Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of Bayern Munich vs PSG in the Champions League, head coach Hansi Flick discussed the strengths on the French champions.
“Our style is reliant on high press to block spaces for the opponent high up the pitch but as a result of course there are spaces left behind. We know that Paris have very fast players, but our guarantee to success has been to press high and we won’t change much,” said Flick.
“Paris is a top team with a lot of pace and very good players, not only in attack. Defensively with Thiago Silva and Marquinhos, they only conceded five goals in the Champions League, so you can see that not only the offence but also the defence is working. That’s why we’ll try to do the best we can, because we can only win the game if everyone is at 100 percent.”
