Hansi Flick on permanent role at Bayern Munich: “We can achieve a lot together.”

Bayern Munich announce head coach Hansi Flick has signed a permanent contract with the Bundesliga club until 2023.

The 55-year-old was appointed as interim head coach until the end of the season following the dismissal of Niko Kovac in November.

“I’m looking forward to taking on the upcoming challenges together with my coaching staff and the team,” said Flick. “The talks with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidžić were very good with great mutual trust.

“Together we have defined the direction for the coming years. I’m sure that we can achieve a lot together.”

Bayern Munich CEO Rummenigge added: “Bayern is very happy with Hansi Flick’s work. The team has developed very well under him and they play attractive football, which is also reflected in the results.”
