Clubs have 12 days to buy Timo Werner (RB Leipzig) for £49m

Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea have less that two weeks to exercise the €55 million release clause in RB Leipzig attacker Timo Werner.

Sky Sports report this morning that Liverpool is Werner’s first choice but they don’t want to pay his release clause due to the financial restraints caused by the ongoing pandemic.

Premier League duo Manchester United and Chelsea have also held talks whilst Bayern Munich have ruled out a move for the 24-year-old this summer with their priority in Leroy Sane.

Werner’s €55m (£49m) release clause expires on June 15. After that, RB Leipzig can demand a bigger fee.
