Germany’s Labour Minister Hubertus Heil has rebuffed claims that masks would be made compulsory for players upon the return of the Bundesliga.
“I don’t think games with masks are conceivable,” Heil told Bild am Sonntag.
“In joint talks with the German Football League, constructive work is currently being done on other practicable solutions.”
The German FA have set a date of May 9 for the return of the Bundesliga, which is ready to go ahead if approved by the government.
