Borussia Dortmund’s Sebastian Kehl on game vs Bayern Munich: “We have to be brave, then we can beat them.”

Speaking to Sky Germany after Borussia Dortmund’s 3-0 win at Club Brugge, club’s head of licensed player division, Sebastian Kehl strongly believes that BVB can beat Bayern Munich in Der Klassiker on Saturday.

“We have a very good chance,” said Kehl. “We’re also in a good mood, the two best teams in Germany are currently playing against each other. We play at home, even if it’s not a real home game.

“If we take the same courage as we did in the Supercup, where we threatened Bayern again and again, with deep runs, that will be a means of beating them. Bayern will have respect but of course we have to do well, we have to be brave, we have to die, then we can beat them.”

Mats Hummels was substituted against Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga after picking up an injury and sat out of Borussia Dortmund’s win against Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

“The decision will only be made on Friday,” added Kehl.
