Borussia Dortmund want Marco Rose to be their next head coach

Borussia Dortmund want Borussia Mönchengladbach head coach Marco Rose to take charge of the club following the dismissal of Lucien Favre on Sunday morning.

According to Bild, Rose has a release clause in his contract which expires in 2022 whilst  Gianluca Di Marzio has even gone as far to say that there is already an agreement in principle between Borussia Dortmund and Gladbach coach Rose.

For the time being, Edin Terzic, assistant coach to Favre, will take charge of BVB on an interim basis until the end of the season after the 63-year-old was sacked after a run of three games without a Bundesliga win, their latest defeat coming in the form of a 5-1 thrashing by VfB Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon.

Other names that have been linked with the vacant job at Borussia Dortmund have included Jesse Marsch (RB Salzburg), Julian Nagelsmann (RB Leipzig), Ralf Rangnick and Mauricio Pochettino.
