Bayern Munich put pressure on Manchester City to finalise Leroy Sané deal

Bayern Munich are ready to offer Manchester City €40 million for 24-year-old attacker Leroy Sané with the Premier League club ready to reject their approach, according to Sport Bild.

The Germany international has just one-year remaining on his Manchester City contract and can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in January. If they don’t convince Sané to sign a contract extension, then Pep Guardiola’s side risk losing him on a free next summer.

Bayern Munich are focusing their attentions on Sané and have no intention of paying Bayer Leverkusen’s €100 million asking price for Kai Havertz in today’s market, given the financial impact of the coronavirus.

They also believe that €40m is enough to land Sané, as Manchester City don’t want to lose him on a free transfer in 2021.
