Bayer Leverkusen in active negotiations to sign Sead Kolašinac

According to Sport Bild, Bayer Leverkusen are close to reaching an agreement worth around €10 million with Arsenal for 27-year-old defender Sead Kolašinac.

Earning around €9 million per year, Sport Bild had cited the salary of Kolašinac as a potential stumbling block for the Bundesliga side – who are actively searching for new players following the departures of Kai Havertz and Kevin Volland.

Sky Germany now suggest that the Bosnian’s salary is no longer an issue and that Bayer Leverkusen are now working hard to reach an agreement with Arsenal, labelling the talks as “intense”.

Former side Schalke had also shown an interest in signing Kolašinac.
