AS Monaco in advanced talks to land Kevin Volland for €25m

As reported by Bild and Sport1, AS Monaco are in advanced negotiations to sign 28-year-old Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kevin Volland for €25 million.

The Germany international scored ten and created eight in 27 Bundesliga games last season, but with just one-year remaining on his current deal and no extension on the horizon, Bayer will be forced to sell or risk losing Volland on a free transfer in 2021.

An agreement is close with Sport1 journalist Patrick Berger suggesting that a deal could be finalised in the coming days. With a €25m move in the pipeline, Bayer Leverkusen are expected to target AS Monaco striker Patrik Schick, whom they’ve been monitoring.
