A move abroad appeals to Timo Werner

RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner has revealed that a move away from the Bundesliga would appeal more than a move to Bayern Munich.

“A challenge in a foreign league would appeal to me rather a move to Bayern,” Werner told Bild.

Bayern Munich and Liverpool have shown an interest in signing the Germany international, who has scored 21 in 25 Bundesliga games this season.

Sport Bild reported in April that Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp wanted a meeting with Werner to convince him to join Liverpool, before the current health crisis restricted travel and transfer plans.

Kicker also suggest that Bayern Munich will sign one of Werner or Manchester City attacker Leroy Sané, with the latter looking more likely.
