Timo Werner could remain at RB Leipzig & sign a contract extension

Bayern Munich target Timo Werner could imagine himself staying at RB Leipzig another season after Bayern had appeared to favour a move for Manchester City’s Leroy Sané.

Bild are reporting that Werner didn’t take it well that Bayern bosses and players were focussing on Sané as opposed to the RB Leipzig forward, which could now see him play a season under Julian Nagselmann.

It’s also suggested that Werner could sign a contract extension with the Bundesliga club with an exit clause, to stop RB Leipzig losing the 23-year-old on a free transfer next summer.
