After a week of speculation, it now looks as though Arsenal target Markus Schubert will join Schalke instead of the Premier League club, according to Kicker.
The Dynamo Dresden goalkeeper is out of contract and will be available on a free transfer, with Bild suggesting that Schubert will join Schalke and be subsequently loaned to Stuttgart.
