RB Leipzig offer Timo Werner new €6m per season contract

RB Leipzig have offered Timo Werner a contract extension that includes an exit clause for Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich, according to Bild.

The contract would see the Germany international almost double his €3.1m-a-year salary to €6m while the contract includes a €70m exit clause for the aforementioned clubs.

If Werner doesn’t sign an extension – his current deal expires in 2020 – then RB Leipzig will likely sell in the summer but if he does, then this not only gives the Bundesliga club security over the transfer fee, but it would also mean Werner is likely to remain at Leipzig for another season.
