FC Köln have announced the signing of 20-year-old central defender Sebastiaan Bornauw from Anderlecht for an undisclosed fee believed to be €7m.
The Belgium youth international has signed a five-year deal with the Bundesliga club after passing his medical on Tuesday morning.
“Sebastian fits perfectly to what we were looking for. He is a quick player, who is aggressive on the pitch and is very strong in the air. He isn’t just someone who will strengthen our current squad, but also an investment for the future of our team,” said Köln sporting director Armin Veh.
