Thierry Henry’s AS Monaco have completed the signing of Schalke defender Naldo. The 36-year-old has signed a contract until June 2020 with the Ligue 1 club.
“It was not easy for us to agree to this transfer, because Naldo’s performances have played a huge role in our success stories, especially last season. On account of his services to the club, we agreed to fulfil his wish to change clubs one more time in his career as a professional footballer,” said Sporting Director Christian Heidel.
Although both clubs agreed not to disclose a transfer fee, Transfermarkt suggest Monaco paid €2m for the veteran defender.
