Borussia Mönchengladbach have extended the contract of 28-year-old midfielder Christoph Kramer until 2023, the Bundesliga club have announced.
“Christoph has become one of the leading figures in our team in recent years. Both as a footballer and as an opinionated character in the dressing room, he’s become massively important and we’re pleased to be extending his contract,” said sporting director Max Eberl.
Kramer joined the club on an initial two-year loan from Bayer Leverkusen in 2013 before returning permanently in 2016, appearing in 171 games in all competitions for Borussia.
