Nicolas Pépé an alternative to Bayern Munich should Leroy Sané transfer fail to materialise

Bayern Munich could be set to rival the likes of Liverpool and Inter Milan for the signature of Lille forward Nicolas Pépé, according to Sport Bild Journalist Christian Falk.

The 24-year-old has been the subject of much speculation, RMC journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi suggests that Liverpool are well positioned to sign the Ivorian, with Bayern Munich also negotiating.

Falk appears to support these claims, by suggesting that Pépé may indeed be a target for the Bavarians – in the event that moves for Leroy Sané and Callum Hudson-Odoi fail to materialise.

The Ivorian scored 22 goals and recorded 11 assists at Lille in an impressive campaign for the Ligue 1 side, and is now expected to depart after two years at the club following his move from Angers in 2017.
