Mesut Özil turns down PSG loan move

Arsenal & former Germany international Mesut Özil has rejected a loan move to Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain, according to Süddeutsche Zeitung.

A reliable outlet, they suggest that PSG head coach is looking for attacking reinforcements following the injury to Neymar, who is expected to be out for numerous weeks.

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has yet to get the best out of Özil, which has resulted in the 30-year-old being left out of the squad a number of times due to “tactical reasons” which has produced speculation regarding his future.

The transfer of Barcelona playmaker Denis Suarez to Arsenal could potentially see the German depart the club.

Inter Milan had also shown an interest in Özil but with his recent contract extension at the Emirates, a deal may be out of their salary range.
