New Schalke head coach David Wagner is targeting two players at former club Huddersfield Town, Jonas Lössl and Matthias Jørgensen, according to Bild.
30-year-old Denmark international Lössl is available on a free transfer when his Huddersfield contract expires at the end of the season while Jørgensen has one-year remaining on his current deal.
Neither are expected to sign extensions with the club after their relegation from the Premier League was confirmed.
