Augsburg have struck a deal with Premier League club West Ham United to sign 20-year-old defender Reece Oxford for £3 million.
Sky Sports are reporting the Bundesliga club are trying to agree personal terms with Oxford before the final round of fixtures on Saturday.
Head coach Martin Schmidt told Kicker: “He certainly has qualities, but he must not cost anything more than we can afford. It has to be in the budget.”
It was reported at the end of April that the fee may have been closer to €9.25m.
