Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Weigl could be heading to France this summer after Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel appeared to confirm he was interesting in signing his former player.
The German tactician told Eurosport: “Of course [we’re interested In Weigl]. Julian is always an interesting player.”
Since then, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told Funke Sport that they have no intention of selling Weigl, although the 23-year-old could yet depart after starting just 16 Bundesliga games this season, which has attracted interest from European clubs.
The Germany International was formally a key member of Tuchel’s Dortmund side, and a reunion may just be on the cards, if recent comments are to be believed.
