Speaking at the club’s AGM, Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke states the Bundesliga club are behind head coach Lucien Favre but pointed out the importance of their next two fixtures.
“Dear Lucien, you still have our confidence. But in the end, football is always about results so we need to straighten ourselves for the games in Barcelona and Berlin,” said Watzke. “We all wish that you and the team manage to bring about a change. For that you have all the support we can give you.”
Borussia Dortmund play Barcelona on Wednesday night before an important game at Hertha BSC on Saturday.
The 60-year-old also admitted during his speech that they made a mistake by not signing a striker in the summer transfer window.
