Bayern Munich targeting Max Kruse as Robert Lewandowski backup

Bayern Munich are interested in signing Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse on a free transfer, according to Sport1 journalist Florian Plettenberg.

With his contract expiring at the end of the season, Liverpool have also enquired about the 31-year-old while Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are in search of a backup to Robert Lewandowski.

Eintracht Frankfurt, Inter Milan & Tottenham Hotspur have also shown an interest in Kruse.
