Bayern Munich are working on a deal to sign Manchester City forward Leroy Sané, Bayern President Uli Hoeneß has revealed.
Sané, 23, has been linked with a move away from City after playing a reduced role in their treble-winning campaign.
The Bundesliga side have emerged as frontrunners in the race for Sané, despite comments from Pep Guardiola suggesting the Germany international could yet sign a contract extension with the Premier League club.
“We are dealing with this player,” Hoeneß told Süddeutsche Zeitung. Today’s comments mark the first time Hoeness has addressed the Sane rumours directly, after previously vague statements on potential incomings this summer.
