Bayern Munich look towards Yannick Carrasco as an alternative to Leroy Sané

Bayern Munich may be forced into looking at alternatives to Leroy Sané, after a deal for the Manchester City winger proved too difficult to finalise.

According to Sportbild, the Bundesliga club have now turned their attention to Yannick Carrasco, who currently plays for Chinese side Dalian Yifang.

Carrasco, who is also reportedly a target for Arsenal, is likely to cost around €30 million, significantly less than Bayern would have been expected to pay for Sané.

The 25-year-old Belgian international could be keen on returning to Europe, after leaving Atletico Madrid for the Chinese Super League last year.

A potential deal for Carrasco comes after Sané appeared to pour cold water on recent Bayern links, telling media yesterday that: “I’m going on holiday now. Everything else will be seen. That’s it with the questions about Bayern Munich.”
