Borussia Dortmund bosses are to sanction midfielder Sebastian Rode after he spoke openly to Sky Germany regarding their managerial situation for the 2018/19 season.
Rode said: “The way he [Peter Stöger] expresses himself in the locker room, we firmly expect to have a new coach next season.”
Seemingly unhappy with Rode’s comment, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke told Kicker: “We will ask him for a conversation and sanction him accordingly,” with Monday’s edition suggesting they will impose a fine on the 27-year-old.
