Kai Havertz and Antonio Rüdiger pulled out of the Germany squad, owing to their respective injuries. Havertz suffered a bruised knee during Bayer Leverkusen’s match against Freiburg, while Rüdiger sustained a groin injury while playing against Southampton.
On Sunday, Marco Reus, too, was forced to pull out of the squad due to a knee problem. Juventus midfielder Emre Can has been called-up as his replacement.
