An exit clause in Lucien Favre’s contract will allow the OGC Nice head coach to leave for a reduced fee this summer, according to Sport Bild.
The 60-year-old will be free to leave for a compensation fee between €3 million – €5m and with the future of Peter Stöger’s undecided, Borussia Dortmund may re-ignite their interest in Favre, whom they were interested in following Thomas Tuchel’s departure.
A potential stumbling block would be that Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge holds high regards for the Favre, who speaks German and could be tipped to replace Jupp Heynckes.
