Benjamin Henrichs to join AS Monaco

Kicker reports Bayer Leverkusen full-back Benjamin Henrichs is expected to be announced as a AS Monaco player on Monday.

The fee is believed to be around €25 million after the Bundesliga club rebuffed Monaco’s €18m offer last week, according to Sport Bild.

The 21-year-old has reportedly been unhappy at Die Werkself, with sporting director Jonas Boldt revealing: “He explained clearly from the start of the season that he really wants to leave.”

Henrichs likely played his last game for Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday as Heiko Herrlich’s side suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of Borussia Mönchengladbach.
