Arsenal make first offer for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal have made their first attempt at luring Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with a €50 million offer, according to Kicker.

However, the report suggests that Borussia Dortmund aren’t willing to sell the Gabon international for any less than €60m.

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has confirmed Arsenal’s enquiry, but refused to give any indication as to the fee that Arsenal were offering, telling Ruhr Nachrichten“I can confirm that there has been a first enquiry from Arsenal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.”

Should Aubameyang depart Borussia Dortmund, then the Bundesliga club may turn towards Sampdoria striker Duvan Zapata, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

On loan from Napoli before making a permanent move, the report suggests that Dortmund have already spoken with Zapata’s representatives but have yet to make any type of offer.
