With the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saga seemingly over, Bild reported exclusively on Friday night that the Borussia Dortmund forward will head to China in January.
The 28-year-old was close to joining Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian however, they opted for 1. FC Köln’s Anthony Modeste.
There had been an internal deadline within Dortmund, as sporting director Michael Zorc confirmed, which has now passed. BVB had been willing to discuss any potential deals had they received €70 million, however, that fee has now risen to €100m, as reported by Kicker last week.
AC Milan have publicly declared their interest in Aubameyang, whilst Di Marzio is reporting that he’s unwilling to extend his contract with Dortmund.
This transfer saga looks to be going on for some time. Stay tuned on GGFN for all the news in English.
