Werder Bremen and Serge Gnabry have confirmed they will part ways next month after just one season. The newly capped Germany international is expected to join Hoffenheim, report Kicker.
Following his arrival from Arsenal last summer, Gnabry has made an instant impact in the Bundesliga, scoring 11 goals in 23 (4) Bundesliga appearances.
In a heartfelt post to Bremen fans, Gnabry said the following.
“Love Werder. Werder Bremen is really a special club and my time here has exceeded my expectations. I had the chance to prove myself here and I am very grateful to you all. I will not forget the support of the whole city, the fans and my teammates. My path goes elsewhere however. I will say where at another time. Today it is important for me to say thank you. I will keep Werder in my heart.”
