Schalke will decide in the first week of July whether to negotiate with Chelsea to acquire Baba Rahman or not as he continues to recover from the cruciate ligament injury that he suffered in January whilst on international duty. The injury cut short his loan spell at the Schalke but the Gelsenkirchen club are still interested in the Ghana international if his recovery goes as planned.
Schalke general manager Christian Heidel told Bild : ” Our team doctor met with Baba in London. His knee injury is much more complex and lengthy than anticipated. We will wait until July and then decide with Baba and his agent whether it makes sense to open negotiations with Chelsea.”
