Following increased rumours of a move to Bayern Munich, Nadiem Amiri has signed a new two-year deal with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
Amiri: “I would of course like to repay the faith shown in me. That’s my goal. TSG has become a bit like a home for me. I know exactly what I have at TSG and I’m sure I can continue to develop, particularly with the upcoming international challenges.”
Julian Nagelsmann: “He’s a special player, because he can go from our youth academy to become a high-performing young professional. His development is far from complete, and it’s great to be able to actively support Nadiem along his career path.”
The 20-year-old’s deal now ends in 2020, after signing for the club as a 15-year-old in 2012. Amiri was a key protagonist in helping Hoffenheim qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history.
