Hamburger SV have made their first signing of the season with the arrival of Julian Pollersbeck from 1. FC Kaiserslautern on a four-year deal.
The Germany U21 international arrives for a €3.5 million fee (via Transfermarkt.de) with Kyriakos Papadopoulos expected to sign imminently with just the official confirmation left.
“I’m looking forward to a new chapter in my career with HSV and I hope we can achieve our goals together,” Pollersbeck told the club’s website.
Sporing director Jens Todd added: “Julian is a very talented young keeper who proved his ability last season. We’ve watched him for a long time and believe in him. He made it clear early on he wanted to come to HSV. We’re very happy to enter the new season with a quality trio of keepers.”
