Despite an official confirmation from Hamburger SV, Kyriakos Papadopoulos confirms (via Instagram) that he has signed a three-year deal with HSV.
The 25-year-old has spent the past six months at HSV on loan, helping them avoid relegation. In his contract, HSV have the option to extend Papadopoulos’ contract by a further year.
Kicker report the fee paid to Bayer Leverkusen is around €6.5 million, which could rise to €10m dependent on performance related bonuses.
