1. FSV Mainz 05 have confirmed the signing of Viktor Fischer on a four-year deal.
The Denmark international joins from Middlesbrough after just one season in the Premier League, where he played just 13 times.
Fischer becomes Mainz’ fourth signing of the summer after René Adler, Alexandru Maxim and Kenan Kodro all joined the club.
“Mainz is the right club for me to be able to really enjoy my football again,” said Fischer. “I want to be a part of this team and this club quickly, find my form and show my qualities as an attacking player.”
