Lukas Podolski must accept Japan move, says Milivoje Novaković

Despite Galatasaray sporting director Levent Nazifoglu insisting that Lukas Podolski is going nowhere – after being linked with a move to China – Japanese club Vessel Kobe have now expressed their interest in the former Germany international.

Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan were interested in signing Podolski, but with that interest now diminished, a move seems unlikely – until the J-League club came in for him.

Former teammate at 1. FC Köln, Milivoje Novaković, has urged Podolski to move to Japan. Speaking to Express, he said: “Poldi must accept the offer. Life is a dream in Japan. For me, Japan in the second Germany.”

Podolski has scored 23 goals in 56 appearances for Galatasaray since his move from Arsenal.
