Former Hamburger SV captain Johan Djourou is set to join Montpellier, per French outlet Midi Libre, via BILD. The Ligue 1 club are ready to offer Djourou a two-year contract, once he returns from holiday.
The Switzerland international played just 14 Bundesliga games last campaign, falling out of favour with Markus Gisdol towards the end of season – to the point HSV’s head coach left him out of the emergency training camp ahead of their relegation battle.
