Hoffenheim’s Eduardo Vargas a wanted man

Brazilian outlet O Globo reported today that Flamengo are interested in signing TSG 1899 Hoffenheim forward and Chile international Eduardo Vargas.

However, the club’s vice-president, Flavio Dodinho, told reporters that the Bundesliga club would prefer to sell to China, where they would arguable receive a larger transfer fee, should the opportunity arise.

“I want Vargas, but his club want to sell him to China. We would like to have a decision by Wednesday, but nothing will happen until then,” said Dodinho.

Vargas was also a wanted man over the summer, but Hoffenheim’s sporting director Alexsander Rosen told Bild that a club would have to offer €15 million before they are to open negotiations.
