Hamburg close in on Stefano Denswil

As Hamburg’s search for a defender continues, head coach Markus Gisdol and sporting director Jens Todt flew to Belgium to tie up a deal for Stefano Denswil, according to Kicker.

It was reported last week that HSV were interested in the Club Brugge defender, whilst talks have picked up pace. The duo left Hamburg’s training camp in Längenfeld, Austria, at noon as they look to convince Denswil to join the Bundesliga club.

The fee is reported to be around €8 million.
