Florian Niederlechner will join SC Freiburg on a permanent deal from 1. FSV Mainz 05 following a successful loan spell, both clubs have confirmed.
The German forward was under contract with Mainz until 2019, but with 10 goals in all competitions this season, Freiburg have decided to make the move a permanent one.
Both clubs have agreed not to disclose any further details.
This move can be seen as a huge boost to Freiburg, who could qualify for the Europa League in their first season back in the Bundesliga.
