Following Carlo Ancelotti’s middle finger gesture towards Hertha BSC fans following the proceedings of Bayern Munich’s game, the DFB will not be following up their inquiry after accepting Ancelotti’s apology.
As well as publicly apologising, the Bayern Munich coach has donated €5,000 of his own money to DFB’s foundation.
After being spat at, the DFB stated it was an “understandable emotional reaction.”
