Following interest from Borussia Dortmund, per Bild, Hertha BSC want to tie young defender Niklas Stark down to a longer contract, which currently expires in 2019.
German media have reported that Dortmund will send scouts to watch the 19-year-old, who has featured 15 times in the Bundesliga for Hertha Berlin this season.
“We will soon talk in Berlin [about a contract extension],” says sporting director Michael Preetz. Whilst Stark insists he’s happy in the capital.
“I feel comfortable in Berlin. Everyone knows I am open for contract talks.”
