Bayern Munich prepare a €65 million offer for Alexis Sanchez

According to The Telegraph, Bayern Munich are preparing a €65 million offer for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean international has just over 12 months remaining on his current Arsenal contract and has so far stalled on signing a new deal with the Premier League club.

Bayern Munich are understood to have been monitoring Alexis’ situation ever since it was revealed that the player had become frustrated with Arsenal’s failure to compete for major domestic and European honours every passing season.

Alexis outlined his disappoint with Arsenal’s season and his future plans in a recent interview with Sky Sports.

” I came to Arsenal to win trophies, to be at least competing in the Champions League semi-finals and to win the Premier League, and I feel disappointed that we aren’t in a position to win the Premier League or the Champions League.” Sanchez said.

On his future the former Udinese player revealed : ” What I want to do now is to finish the season well, try to qualify for the Champions League, win the FA Cup and then I’ll sit down with the club to decide what I’m going to do.”

Arsenal’s domestic rivals Chelsea and Manchester City are also keen to sign the 28 year old and will match any offer made by Bayern. Ligue un club Paris Saint Germain have also shown an interest in him. Although if Arsenal do decide to sell Sanchez in the summer they would understandably prefer to do business with a foreign club rather than a domestic rival.

If given encouragement by Arsenal, Bayern would like to complete the deal for the former Barcelona player early in the summer.

Alexis Sanchez has been in sensational form for Arsenal, scoring 24 and assisting another 14 goals in all competitions so far this season.
